World Environment Day may be over, but looking after our planet is an everyday commitment.
Our team recently spent the day at the beach, collecting trash while learning why every piece of rubbish matters. Some of our staff even brought their children along, turning the cleanup into a meaningful opportunity to teach the next generation in caring for our environment.
A few facts that really stuck with us:
1. Sea turtles can mistake plastic bags for jellyfish.
2. Plastic waste, like cable ties can end up in birds’ nests and harm wildlife.
3. Over time, plastics break down into microplastics that can make their way back to us through the food chain.
The experience reminded us that we’re all connected, and even small actions can make a difference. Because protecting our environment is as simple as doing our part, one small step at a time.
